I just either this one also or the Jack Daniels Mesquite Marinade that comes in the pouch that you put the steak right into.

I like McCormack Meat Marinade - it's a powdered mix that you add oil and vinegar to.

Soy sauce, chopped garlic (a lot), minced fresh ginger, olive oil, Salt, Pepper and a palmful of sugar. Let it soak for AT LEAST a couple of hours. JUST before you cook it (about 10 minutes before you put it on the grill) add some red wine vinegar. DO NOT add it for longer than 10 - 15 minutes or it alters the flavor too much. Then cook it.
Delicious.

I pierce the meat several times, rub olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano & red vinegar... & leave marinating for a few hours in the fridge.

Our standard is
1/2 cup veggie oil 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup tomato juice 1/2 cup brown sugar lots of chopped garlic
Try to marinate it overnight if possible. After you put the steak on the grill, pour the remaining marinade into a bowl and microwave it for a minute and a half. Use that to pour over the steak after you cut it. Delish - we always get SO many compliments on it whenever we serve it!
